Promote Iceland conducted a survey on tourism in Iceland among foreign travel professionals in January, 2018. According to the survey, 77% of the respondents expect equal or more bookings to Iceland in 2018. A similar survey conducted in June 2017, showed 2% more respondents stating the same prediction, which might indicate similar growth in bookings to Iceland
The North American market is most positive towards bookings to Iceland this year with 94% of the respondents expecting equal or better number of bookings, while the European market is much more conservative in their predictions. In Central and South Europe 67% respondents expecting equal or better number of bookings, which is up by 2% from last survey, while the Scandinavia market goes down by 13% respondents. Only 58% respondents from UK expect equal or better number of bookings for year, which is a -8% change from last survey in June 2017.
